Maui is also known as the Valley Isle & is the 2nd largest island in the Hawaiian Islands chain. Maui may also be one the wettest places on Earth. To West Maui is one of two dormant volcanoes that formed the isle of Maui, Mt. Puu Kukui & then you have world famous volcano Mt. Haleakala, House of the rising sun. This is a must see location any time of the day but sunrise is spectacular & the sunsets from the top of Mt. Haleakala are something special to experience. The entire island of Maui is beautiful & scenic with lush tropic countryside with many roads that take you for a view of the coastline & beaches.

West Maui includes the areas of Lahaina, Kaanapali, Kahana, Napili & Kapalua. Lahaina, Hawaii is a National Historic Landmark rich in history & lore. Central Maui has the towns of Wailuku, which is the County seat for the isle of Maui & Kahului offers the port entrance to Maui. The area going up the slopes of Mt. Haleakala is called upcountry, a magical place towards Makawao, Kula & Ulupalakua. This is incredible country. Hana, Hawaii must be paradise indeed. The road to Hana will take you on a ride you will never forget. It takes a while to get there and back so plan an early start. The drive will offer views of some of the most beautiful places in all of the Hawaiian Islands. Going south from Wailea takes you to Makena. Swimming, snorkeling & great beaches await you.
