A discrete, built-in desk with a phone & answering machine can comfortably accommodate the needs of the business traveler. The Dining area features an elegant limestone table with seating for five, & the Living area boasts a new, comfortable sofa, a wicker/rattan chair & ottoman, an extremely comfortable swivel/rocking combination chair & an oversized limestone coffee table. A full width bench seat with cushions along the entire oceanfront window wall adds even more seating! The glass windows & plantation shutters can be pushed open to either side to create a breathtaking unobstructed 18 foot opening to the sights & sounds of the Pacific Ocean. Guests can linger for hours watching the ever-changing scenes of sailboats, surfers & even schools of fish unfold before them. Our guests find that this arrangement provides the best of both worlds combining the openness of a balcony with the comfort & protection of an interior space. This is truly what makes the direct oceanfront units in the Colony Surf Ltd. so special ! The Kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, flatware, coffeemaker, toaster, & utensils suitable for entertaining. It has white cabinets & stainless steel countertops as well as a pass through opening to the dining room. The Bathroom features an oversized sink in a white cabinet with gold hardware & accented with a frameless glass panel etched with a unique tropical leaf pattern. The shower is lined with solid Corian & the bathroom is fully outfitted with bath & beach towels. The Colony Surf Ltd. provides many amenities to its guests, including direct access to the finest white sand beach in the area, fine dining at the romantic Michel's Restaurant located on the building's beach level, secured entry with 24 hour security & an elegant lobby tastefully decorated with travertine marble floors, white marble walls, traditional furniture, sweeping curved staircase, & fresh tropical flower arrangements. Within a short five minute walk is The Hau Tree Lanai Restaurant with outdoor beachside dining under a historic hau tree (perfect for breakfast or brunch!), cutting-edge Hawaiian Regional Cuisine & jazz entertainment at the "W" Diamond Head Grill next door. The Outrigger Canoe Club as well as the Elk's Club is located next door to the Colony Surf Ltd. building. Members of athletic clubs or Elk's across the US should check to see if their club has reciprocal arrangements with these local organizations. The many amenities, including a lovely dining terrace would then be at your doorstep!
